Submission Guidelines

Bizarrocast is looking for strange stories, and the stranger the better. We want to read things that we've never even considered, things that warp expectations and give a shock to the system, leaving the reader disturbed. We want stories that are funny, disgusting, terrifying, and most of all well written. Weirdness is mandatory, vulgarity is praised, and madness is our highest honor. If your story is about someone being cursed to be a werewolf and tearing apart his sleeping wife, it may be good, but we don't want it. If your story is about someone cursed to be a weretapeworm and tearing apart his sleeping wife's innards, you might have what we're looking for. Stories pay a flat rate of 5.00 USD, and the preferred length is 2,000 to 6,000 words. Reprints gladly accepted, we do accept simultaneous submissions, but we request to be informed immediately if they are accepted elsewhere. We take Non-Exclusive Electronic Rights, and Archive Rights. Bear in mind that most publications will not publish pieces that have been published in print or on the web, so for all intents and purposes after your work is published by us it can only be marketed as a reprint, which severely limits the number of markets that will accept it, and drastically reduces the pay rate it can receive. It is up to you, the author, to decide if publishing your work on our web site, giving up your First Publishing Right for no payment other than for a token payment, is really what you want to do.

Please send all submissions to bizarrocast@gmail.com with the word "Query" in the subject line, the story in the body of the email if possible, and include a short self bio. Responses given in two to six weeks.
